The perfect setting for your wedding or meeting, the North Carolina Botanical Garden offers the splendor of nature as a backdrop. The birds are singing in the trees, the decorating is done, and the flowers are always fresh!

Display Gardens and Piedmont Nature Trails
There are several designated sites for ceremonies at the Garden's main visitor site, including the Display Gardens and the meadow of the Piedmont Nature Trails. To guard against a soggy ceremony, the historic Paul Green Cabin (photo below) can be reserved as an alternative if the weather turns wet.

Totten Center, Paul Green Cabin, and Herb House
In the center of the display gardens area is the Totten Garden Center, which includes a classroom/meeting room, gift shop, and staff work areas. The classroom is available for rent to outside groups when it is not already reserved for Garden sponsored classes, programs, or events. In addition, the nearby Paul Green Cabin and Herb House may be used by smaller groups (15 max.). Coker Arboretum
Due to its location on the University of North Carolina campus, Coker Arboretum is especially popular with UNC alumni. The Coker Arboretum in particular features an open, park-like landscape suitable for larger weddings. Up to 200 guests can be accommodated.

Forest Theatre
Forest Theatre, on the UNC campus, has been much loved and used for theatrical and musical performances as well as weddings for many years. We are pleased to carry on the traditions of Forest Theatre weddings when the theater is available.

Photography Sessions
Families and other groups sometimes ask to use an area of the display gardens, Coker Arboretum, Forest Theatre, or Nature Trails for a special extended photo shoot. Our policy regarding this type of use of our facilities is on the form [PDF] available here. Because this kind of activity can interrupt use by other visitors or garden care by staff, we have found it necessary to ask that you make advance reservations and pay a small fee for this "rental" of our facility.
