Stillhouse Bottom Preserve Update!
October 13, 2008: Fundraising continues toward the purchase of a key piece of property that will expand protection for the Stillhouse Bottom Natural Area—part of the larger Morgan Creek Bluffs Natural Area. Stillhouse Bottom is considered to be the only undisturbed, steep, north-facing ravine left in Orange County. Acquiring the Ivey Property, indicated on the map below, is a key conservation objective for the Botanical Garden Foundation—the nonprofit arm of the North Carolina Botanical Garden.
If you would like more information about how to help with this important effort, please call the North Carolina Botanical Garden at 919-962-0522 and ask for Johnny Randall.
