Stillhouse Bottom Preserve Update!
October 24, 2007: Fundraising is underway to purchase a key piece of property that will expand protection for the Stillhouse Bottom Natural Area—part of the larger Morgan Creek Bluffs Natural Area. Stillhouse Bottom is considered to be the only undisturbed, steep, north-facing ravine left in Orange County. Acquiring the Ivey Property, indicated on the map below, is a key conservation objective for the Botanical Garden Foundation—the nonprofit arm of the North Carolina Botanical Garden. Please help us by joining us for fun, food, and music on November 17th.
Enjoy a live performance by the Stillhouse Bottom Band at the North Carolina Botanical Garden on Saturday, November 17, 2007, from 6 to 9 pm. Both Weaver Street Market and the Carolina Brewery are contributing sponsors, which should add to the flavor of the evening! Return to description of Stillhouse Bottom, the fundraiser, and other natural areas.
