Coker Arboretum Photo Gallery

Early in the Spring of 2006, Lauren Rosenthal, a graduate student in the art program at UNC-Chapel Hill, brought her students from "3-D Design: Introduction to Sculpture" to Coker Arboretum for a tour. Then, drawing on influences like Andy Goldsworthy, the group brainstormed ways in which they could do public art within the collection. The pieces, inspired by the Arboretum and reflective of its history and natural beauty, were only up for a couple of weeks. Six of them are pictured here.
