Scheduling Group Tours

Experience the beauty of our unique native plant gardens and learn what makes the NCBG one of the premier conservation gardens in the U.S. by scheduling a private guided tour for your adult or senior group. Tours are available March-November, Tuesday-Friday, 9:30 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.

Skilled Garden Guide volunteers lead your group through our Display Gardens on a leisurely 60-90 minute walk, sharing plants that are blooming or of particular interest, the history of how our gardens were created, and even pass along some home gardening tips. If your group is interested in a specific topic or area of the Garden, we will do our best to accommodate you.

The fee for a private guided tour is $50 for groups up to 40 adults, with an additional $5 per person up to a maximum of 60 adults total. We provide one Garden Guide per 10-15 people. It is recommended that you submit your request for a tour at least 4 weeks in advance of your desired visit date.

To Request a Group Tour for Adults

1. Complete the Adult Group Tour Request Form. We do not accept registrations over the phone.
2. Once your field trip is scheduled, you will receive a confirmation email and invoice within 5 business days.
3. Please contact Mike Dunn, Natural Science Educator with questions.

Enjoy a free tour of the Garden on the FIRST Saturday of each month at 10:00 a.m. Each month offers a glimpse into what’s happening in the Garden, from spring wildflowers to summer butterflies to fall color. Tours are one (1) hour and led by our trained Garden Guides. Free; pre-registration encouraged. Meet in the Education Center lobby.
