And the winner is…

Plasma-cut steel figures hang in a breezeway at the Garden.

The people have spoken. Visitors cast over 500 votes for the Sculpture in the Garden People’s Choice Award since the show opened on September 15. We’re pleased to announce that this year’s People’s Choice Award winner is #11, Figures by Elsa Hoffman.

Born in the North Carolina Piedmont, Elsa is an artist and craftsman based in Efland, NC. She builds artistic and functional steel sculpture and custom wood furniture. Figures is an installation of five hand-cut steel forms. They dance in the wind, and in the early morning sun, they cast shadows along our breezeway sidewalk. This is Elsa’s first year participating in Sculpture in the Garden.

The People’s Choice Award is made possible by the generosity of longtime supporters and Sculpture in the Garden event hosts Vikram Rao and Susan Henning.
