Day one of construction.

We broke ground today on the new Bob and Molly Broad Entrance Walk! If you visit our display gardens in the next few months, you’ll notice construction underway along the walkway from our parking lot down to the Allen Education Center. We’ll be paving the walkway and breezeway, installing stone seating, and more.

During the construction, the entry walk will be closed off. You’ll be able to take alternate paths to reach the Courtyard Gardens, classrooms, restrooms, and any other affected areas. Construction is expected to be completed in May.

We thank the North Carolina Botanical Garden Foundation board members and the friends and family of Bob and Molly Broad for contributing to this project. Bob Broad was an NCBG Foundation board member and longtime supporter of the Garden who passed away in July. We’re grateful for the opportunity to honor his and his wife Molly’s contributions to the state of North Carolina with this new entry walk, which will make the area around our buildings fully accessible.
