Holiday Shopping

Our Garden Shop is a great place to find unique and thoughtful gifts, from gardening books, to kids’ toys, to plant-themed t-shirts, to crafts by local artisans. Shop in-person during normal Garden hours (Tuesdays-Saturdays 9 a.m.-5 p.m., Sundays 1-5 p.m.) or online!

Natural Ornaments – Family Workshop

For ages 5 & up with accompanying adult. Decorate for the holidays naturally with acorns, pinecones, milkweed pods, and more! Use your imagination to craft your own unique ornament with materials that nature supplies. Winter Walks on UNC’s Campus

Winter is a great time to enjoy the shrubs and trees of the university campus. This walk will meander through the older parts of UNC and will highlight mature specimens of broad-leaf evergreens, conifers, unusuals, and a few originals. Special mention will be made of the many storied hollies and cultivars along the way.
