Edible Campus UNC Tour
May 12 @ 5:00 pm - 6:00 pmFree
with Kyle Parker, Coordinator, Edible Campus UNC
Date: Wednesday, May 12, 2021
Time: 5:00 PM-6:00 PM
Fee: Free, preregistration required
Take a walk with the coordinator of Edible Campus UNC, one of the North Carolina Botanical Garden’s community outreach programs that creates gardens across the UNC-Chapel Hill campus full of edible, medicinal, and pollinator-friendly plants. We’ll see and taste from the gardens, and we’ll learn about the program and how it supports food justice initiatives at the University, and more!
Note: We’ll meet at the main Edible Campus Garden, located next to Davis Library on the UNC-Chapel Hill campus (at the corner of Raleigh Street and Lenoir Drive). Allow time for parking downtown, or take the bus!
This annual tradition (formerly National Public Gardens Week) of the American Public Gardens Association celebrates public gardens, raising awareness of the important role the North Carolina Botanical Garden plays in the community. Join NCBG staff for a guided tour of some of our gardens and natural areas, emphasizing our role as a Conservation Garden. We encourage you to attend multiple tours.
