35th Annual Sculpture in the Garden
September 17 - December 3Free
September 17 – December 3, 2023
9 a.m.-5 p.m. Tuesdays-Saturdays, 1-5 p.m. Sundays
Free; donations welcome
This autumn marks the 35th annual Sculpture in the Garden exhibit, a show that brings the work of local artists to the native plant landscapes of the North Carolina Botanical Garden. From a giant steel scorpion to small ceramic mushroom creatures, there’s a huge variety in the show: this year will feature over 80 works by 58 artists!
You can enjoy Sculpture in the Garden by taking a self-guided tour using the show program and interpretive signs, which label each sculpture and share a statement from the artist. We’ll also have a sculpture scavenger hunt available for kids of all ages. It’s free to visit during normal Garden hours — donations are welcome to support the show.
Stop by the Sara Waitt Breezeway through November 17 to vote for your favorite to win a People’s Choice Award!
Sculptures in the show will be for sale in our Garden Shop unless marked otherwise, but all remain on site through the end of the exhibit.
