Bird-Friendly Landscapes: Cultivating Habitats, Connecting Lives is a series of programs and exhibits presented in partnership with the New Hope Bird Alliance that explores the intricate links between native plants, insects, and birds.
Through Lunchbox Talks, self-guided tours, bird walks, gardening workshops, art classes, and more, participants will explore the pivotal role native vegetation plays in supporting our local ecosystems and bird populations.
This series aims to provide meaningful learning experiences, promote sustainable practices, and raise awareness about the importance of preserving and promoting native plant habitats.

Birds of North Carolina: Community Photo Exhibit
Reception: Sunday, January 12, 2-4 p.m. (Inclement weather date: Sunday, January 26)
This exhibit features nearly 300 photos of wild birds in North Carolina thanks to submissions from individuals from across the state and country.

North Carolina Birds and Where They Live

This collection of expressive portraits of North Carolina birds and with impressionist local landscapes serves as a reminder of what we have and what we have to lose.
This series is presented in partnership with the New Hope Bird Alliance.
The New Hope Bird Alliance (NHBA) offers regular local bird walks that are free and open to the public. All levels of birding experience are welcome, and NHBA provides loaner binoculars for attendees. Find upcoming walks on the NHBA calendar.
