About Volunteer Workdays Partners and Supporters Newsletter

Make a Donation

There are several ways to give to the Carolina Campus Community Garden. We welcome gifts of cash and needed materials. Your support will help make this opportunity available to more members of our campus community. All contributions will be gratefully acknowledged and may be tax deductible.

Donate Online

Simply click the Support Us button at the bottom of this page to make an online donation.

Donate by Check

Use the Contact button below to find out how you can donate by check.

Donate Garden Items

Please contact the Carolina Campus Community Garden if you have tools, seeds or other items that may be helpful to our community effort. All gift-in-kind contributions will be gratefully acknowledged and may be tax deductible.

Donate Compost

The CCCG accepts compost donations from community members, faculty, staff, students and everything in between. Compost donations are chopped and incorporated into one of our 11 compost bins to begin the process of decomposition (see slideshow below). The final product, which we call “black gold,” is used to increase the nutrient content of our beds, thus growing new food from old food. Keep your compostable scraps out of the landfill to ease our waste footprint.

CCCG cannot accept commercially compostable items such as bags, plates, to-go boxes, etc.

Graphic reads:

What Can I Compost? A guide to donating compost to the Carolina Campus Community Garden.

Please bring us your: Fruit and veggie scraps, breads and grains, egg shells, coffee grounds, coffee filters and tea bags, old flower arrangements.

Sorry, we do not accept: Meat and dairy products, leftovers, food cooked in oil, paper products, non-biodegradable waste, grass clippings, or yard waste.

Where do I take my compost? The donation bucket is outside the fence on the garden’s southeast side.
