Visitors are welcome at the Mason Farm Biological Reserve for the quiet enjoyment of nature, but you must apply for a permit for your own safety and to protect the Reserve for its primary purposes of research and natural area protection.

PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND REGULATIONS

Do not disturb research stakes, cages, markings, blinds, nets or any other equipment.
Do not enter the fenced portion of the Reserve unless you have explicit permission to enter.
Dogs are prohibited.
No hunting, trapping, fishing, camping or fires.
Do not harm, kill or remove plants or wildlife (this includes snakes and turtles).
No traps, firearms, or weapons of any kind are permitted. No hunting access.
No bicycles or motorized vehicles are permitted beyond the visitor parking lot.
No unnecessary noise.
Carry out all trash and litter.

Failure to comply with Reserve regulations will result in cancellation of your Reserve use permit and may jeopardize recreational use of the area. The permit, unless otherwise approved, is good from dawn until dusk for one year from the date of issuance.
