Join the North Carolina Botanical Garden and other local native plant nurseries for our annual Spring Native Plant Sale! Shop from a great selection of plants and support small businesses.

Growing Wild Nursery, Mellow Marsh Farm, Rachel’s Native Plants, Carolina Habitats (formerly Dirtbag Gardens), and the North Carolina Botanical Garden will be offering a wide variety of southeastern native perennials, vines, shrubs, trees, grasses, and carnivorous plants. During the sale, a shuttle will run continuously between the Garden and additional event parking at the Finley Athletic Fields.

Tips:

Parking and Shuttle
Parking in our main lot is limited. Additional parking will be available at the Finley Athletic Fields on Old Mason Farm Road, about a half mile from the Garden. Shuttles will run continuously between the Garden and the athletic fields during the sale.

To reach the Finley Athletic Fields, follow signs along Old Mason Farm Road or see Google Maps directions. To avoid congestion turning left from Fordham Boulevard, consider accessing the athletic fields from Finley Golf Course Road.

Payment Methods
You must pay for your plants at each vendor this year. There will NOT be a consolidated check-out area. Please be sure to purchase your plants BEFORE walking away from each vendor’s area. All vendors will accept credit cards. Some vendors will accept additional forms of payment – please ask them for clarification BEFORE loading up.

B.Y.O.-Cart
If you’re planning to get more plants than you can easily carry in a tray, you may wish to bring your own cart or wagon. (We have some here, but not enough for everyone.) You can drive in to drop your cart off and then head to the shuttle lot, if need be. For those parking at the athletic fields, we will have a holding area in our parking lot where you can park your plants so you can take the shuttle to pick up your car and then circle back through the lot to pick them up.

Plants
We will not be publishing a plant list in advance for this sale, but between the five vendors there will be a wide variety of southeastern native perennials, grasses, ferns, vines, shrubs, and trees for sale.

Rain or Shine
The sale will be rain or shine: we recommend sunscreen if it’s sunny or a rain jacket if it’s rainy!
