On-site Daily Plant Sale

Our Daily Plant Sale features a rotating selection of southeastern native plants grown right here at the NCBG nursery. All proceeds return to the North Carolina Botanical Garden. The Daily Plant Sale runs from mid-March through November in the pavilion outside the Garden Shop.

Find plants species for your yard

Our horticulture staff has multiple recommended plant lists for different habitats and needs. Click the link below to search for plants in various levels or sun or shade and soil moisture, along with some of their specific recommendations. You can also limit the search to plants in our daily plant sale. Other plants may not be in stock here at NCBG.

Spring Native Plant Sale

Purchase southeastern native plants grown at the North Carolina Botanical Garden’s own nursery as well as several other local nurseries.

After you’ve chosen your plants, stop by Reeves Auditorium for an environmental fair with local conservation organizations. Garden members receive a 10% discount on NCBG plants.

Policy on the Sale of Rare Plant Species

We will only sell rare plants, determined by the global and state status categories of The Nature Conservancy and the
NC Plant Conservation Program, if the assessment shows that there is the potential for little or no harm to conservation goals.
