Garden hosts bird‐friendly native plants day for landscapers

Chapel Hill – The North Carolina Botanical Garden (NCBG) will host a full‐day landscaping workshop for plant growers, retailers and landscape design professionals on November 7, 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. The workshop will cover how to manage the rise in demand for native plants and how to design beautifully using these plants.

Additional topics include native plants for lawn alternatives by Shannon Currey of Hoffman Nursery, native plant propagation by Matt Gocke of NCBG, and bird‐friendly site design by Kim Brand of Audubon North Carolina. Those attending Brand’s session will receive one continuing education credit approved by the North Carolina Board of Landscape Architects.

The event costs $100 ($92 for Garden members), and includes a catered lunch and refreshments.
