Herbaria curate few specimens collected by Mabelle Bradford, and all specimens found thus far were collected on a single weekend — Saturday 31 May and Sunday 1 June, 1890.  It is not known if Ms. Bradford had a continuing interest in botany, or if her specimens were a result of a single outing with a companion or group of botanists. A search for other specimens collected in the same county and date revealed no specimens collected by other people.  Ms. Bradford would have been about 17 years old in the summer of 1890.
