To minimize health and safety risks to the community and comply with UNC system directives, the Garden is not offering our regular school field trip programs this Fall 2020.

If you would like to book a self-guided group visit (no more than 25 children including chaperones), please complete the REQUEST FORM at least two (2) weeks before you plan to visit.

If you would like to be contacted when scheduling school field trips resumes, please email Lauren Greene at lvgreene@email.unc.edu.

The North Carolina Botanical Garden offers a variety of hands-on field trips for school groups. Guided programs are designed to connect students to plants and natural science through positive outdoor learning experiences. Field trips align with the Common Core and Essential Standards and are led by staff and trained Garden Guide volunteers.

We welcome self-guided groups on a first-come, first-served basis. There is no fee for a self-guided visit; however, we do require registration so that we can coordinate your visit with our program schedule.
